Mug O’ Comfort Swap Reveal

At the very beginning of March I signed up for the Mug O’ Comfort swap hosted by Chaotic Goddess. It was cold then and it’s still cold now. All the more reason to seek out and give comfort.

Those of us who participated were matched with another blogger and informed about whether our partner liked coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Then, we put together a care package for the other blogger including this favorite hot beverage and a mug.

I was paired with Tracy of Chicago who writes Pleasurable Pursuits, a travel-centric blog. She put together a thoughtful package for me. I love this mug.

It’s one of those big, wide mugs that I’ve always admired. Plus, it’s decorated with my favorite colors. I get very excited about the small things so this made my week and I’ve been using it every morning for my coffee.

On a random note, I have typically been unable to finish whatever mug of coffee I pour for myself. Even if it’s a tiny mason jar or a normal sized coffee cup, I usually leave something in the bottom. For whatever reason, I have no trouble finishing whatever I pour into this big mug. I measure out exactly a cup of coffee into it so I don’t get carried away. I guess it’s all about perspective.

Tracy also included these treats in the package:

Mug O Comfort

Jake and I go through as much tea as we do coffee and split the chocolate covered grahams. The Starbucks card was a generous surprise and we’ll definitely use this during our trip to Chicago.

Thank you to Tracy and to CG Swaps for this first online swap opportunity.

Love the colors of your new mug, and a Starbucks card is always a nice surprise! It’s sweet that you shared your goodies with your sweetie. I don’t think I’d be that generous. =D

It is a beautiful gift. For my gift, I went with the upper end of the recommended budget and feel like I didn’t do enough! Next time, I’ll add more.

Coming to Chicago? That’s where I live! I’ll try to arrange for the weather to be nice when you get here.

That would be fantastic! Any recommendations for food?

Yay! I love that we could pair you two up…you have a lot in common, and how wonderful that you traded fantastic swap packages! I prefer oversized mugs, myself…if it fills the hands, it fills the heart. Or stomach. Whatever. 😉

Thanks for joining us for this swap, and have a great time in Chicago!
