My Number At Quang Restaurant Is 502

For 1.5 beautiful months, we could order Quang delivery via Amazon Prime Restaurants.

We don’t even live near Quang.

Quang is a Vietnamese restaurant located along Eat Street between Uptown and downtown Minneapolis. It’s not just a restaurant, it’s institution.

There are many great Vietnamese restaurants in the Twin Cities. Quang has longevity (operating since 1989) and happens to be one of the first places I ever tried Vietnamese food. When I was a new college grad, friends introduced me to pho and spring rolls at Quang and Pho 79 and I’ve returned ever since.

The large dining room is always busy. Scoot into a booth or table and order away. You’ll probably sit rather close to your neighbor. It’s ok, you’re all here for the same reason. The food is ridiculously affordable and drinks are cheap. Choose from alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages alike, from bubble tea and Vietnamese iced coffee to $5 cans of Surly. Sure, we do have our favorites, but we haven’t disliked anything we’ve ordered.

For those five glorious weeks Quang was on Amazon Prime delivery, we enjoyed the feast at home. Quang delivery was an anomaly to our restaurant delivery experiences. The restaurant packed the food items meticulously. Even the pho. Nothing was ever missing. Everything tasted good. If you order pick-up, you’ll find this is still true. Quang offers one of the most affordable, delicious feasts around.

Update: You can no longer order Quang via Amazon, but you can via Door Dash which has a similar fee structure. We’ve ordered it countless times now and haven’t experienced any issues.

Twin Cities residents know their Quang number by heart. 502 for me. 505 for Jake. We don’t branch out from our favorites. I love the lighter broth with pork and shrimp while Jake prefers the fragrant pho with slices of raw beef that cook in the broth. We usually throw cream cheese wontons and spring rolls into our feast.

I like leisurely enjoying pho the most when dining in the restaurant. Comfort food is fishing around a giant bowl of soup for bouncy meatballs and fake crab in a giant bowl of broth. It’s mixing and matching chili sauce and hoisin, tossing lime wedges, bean sprouts, jalapeños, and thai basil into the broth until it’s your version of perfection, . However, Quang does pack all of the ingredients carefully if you order it to-go. When we order take-out, I swap pho for a roasted pork noodle salad.

Anyway, all of this rambling is to express how much we love Quang. Dine-in, delivery, or take-out, the food is always good and prepared with care.

I alternate between 503 and 513 when I make the journey over to Quang in Minneapolis, now that I live in St. Paul it feels like Eat Street is a million miles away! I’m pretty loyal to iPho by Saigon and Trieu Chau on this side of the river 🙂

Really appreciate your suggestions. We need to visit those two restaurants. Jake’s so hooked on Quang now I’ll have to convince him to try some places in St. Paul.

I think it’s 505, the pho ga. Just typing that made me want to go this weekend! For several years I went 3-4 times a month, and I finally tired of it and my life changed so that I no longer had time for weekly leisurely lunches. I’ve also had several salads, the spring rolls, and as a special treat, the shrimp and yam deep fried appetizer.

Will have to try the 505! Have always wanted to try the shrimp and yam appetizer too. Thanks for sharing!

Oh goodness. My mouth is watering. That all sounds so amazing. I have a Vietnamese friend who is an amazing cook and her pho is phenomenal. Or should I say Phonomenal? I need to ask her to make me some when she gets home from the beach.
